Teacher Training course (DET)
The DET qualification is for those carrying out a teaching role and who need to gain Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills status (QTLS). This qualification is equivalent to the Certificate in Education within the Framework for Higher Education Qualifications (FHEQ). The qualification can lead to Qualified Teacher of Learning and Skills (QTLS) status once combined with continuing professional development and a period of professional formation. It is a Level 5 award with 120 credits. The Diploma comprises Part 1 and Part 2 and there is a requirement for a minimum of 100 hours of teaching.
